"Jesus is the only card I have left to play, but with that Card, I'll win the game." - Travis Allen 1981-99, Class of 2000, Auburn Adventist Academy

note: In this cold weather, I'm not sure where this one came from, but I got the opening image in my head and couldn't get rid of it. I had to make a drabble, even though I'm not sure about the ending of this thing.

Heat Wave

Blair dumped the container of water over his head.

It sparkled as it cascaded down his hair.

"Man, it's hot."

Jim glanced at him.

"You volunteered."

"Yeah, but that was months ago. I didn't know we were going to have a heat wave."

"You don't see me complaining."

"Well, gee. Some of us can't control our body's temperature."

"Jealousy doesn't become you."

"Why don't you get your lazy butt over here and help?"

"You volunteered, not me."

Jiiiim! Come on, man. I'm dying here.

"Fine, just to shut you up."

"Man, who would have thought weeding could be so hard."
