Leaping in a Fan

The blue light faded and Sam found himself lying in bed. Remembering a past leap, he quickly looked around for a second occupant and sighed with relief when he found himself alone in a single bed. Just then he heard a voice issued from a previously unnoticed top bunk. "Sam Beckett."

Sam let slip with the oft repeated phrase "Oh, boy."

Immediately a pretty young girl popped her head over the side of the upper bunk. "Hey, that's a good one. Sam would get really confused if he leaped into the middle of our goodnight routine."

Sam improvised fast, as his years of leaping had taught him. "Yeah, he sure would be confused." *You bet I'm confused, what the heck is going on!?*

Sam's thoughts were interrupted by the voice overhead. "So aren't we going to finish? It's your turn."

"Uh, why don't you go instead."

the girl laughed. "Fine, you want to play Sam, I'll play along." The girl leaned over the bed again and smiled at him. "Ok, if you're Sam, I'll start by introducing myself. My name is Tianna Luel and you've leaped into my sister Christina. We were in the middle of saying Good Night to each other. I started by saying Good Night, you replied with Michael Knight and I replied with Sam Beckett. Now it's your turn."

"My turn?"

"Gonna play this all the way huh? Ok, your line is Al Calavicci."

Sam couldn't keep the amazement out of his voice when he replied "Al Calavicci!?"

The girl jumped in with a triumphant "Al Beckett!"

Sam gave a start "Al Beckett!?"

The girl laughed again. "Still going to play Sam are ya? Ok, your line is 'Ha, your wrong, it's Calavicci, Al Calavicci!' And my line is, 'Then who the hell is Beckett!?'"

Some vague memory surfaced in Sam's head and without thinking he replied "I'm Beckett!"

"Now you've got it, all ready for next time."
