Selling Girl Scout Cookies
The first thing Sam noticed was the slight weight of two boxes in his hands, the next thing he noticed was how cold it was. He glanced down at the brightly colored boxes he held. In his right hand he held a box of Do-Si-Dos and in his left had he held a box of Samoas. *funny names for cookies* He then glanced down at his clothes. He was wearing blue slacks and a white blouse with blue and green stripes, over which he wore a blue vest with numerous pins and badges on. *Girl Scouts. I wonder if Katie was in Girl Scouts* His thoughts were interrupted by a sharp jab in the ribs. He turned and found a young teenager standing next to him, wearing the same uniform. "Hey, you missed two potential customers while I was making that last sale. No fair making me do all the work." Sam then glanced up and noticed that they were standing in front of the exit door to what looked like a grocery store. Just then a young lady walked out of the door, pushing a cart loaded with grocery sacks. The girl left his side and approached the lady, politely asking "Would you like to buy some Girl Scout cookies?"
Rather then voice the confusion a leap-in always brought Sam settled for "Oh, boy." instead.
