Loving

Once upon a time
In some far and distant land
Where everyone was happy
And friendship came in hand

A sad and lonely miser
Lived a life of greed
And though never lacking
Was always in need

Till one day he met
A maiden, young and fair
(Who was only 'bout three
And had all the world to share)

She showed him what was lacking
In his dismal life of greed
And by her caring kindness
She planted love's first seed

And so the story ends
The man is now a grandfather
And the child in the story
Is now his loving granddaughter
